# Your data

> Delete a chat and restore it, download a copy of your data, and delete your data.

## Delete a chat

When you delete a chat, it leaves your chat list at once. TraderOS keeps it for 30 days, so you can change your mind. After 30 days it is permanently erased.

* **Undo.** Right after you delete a chat, an **Undo** link appears for a short while. Choose it to bring the chat straight back.
* **Recently deleted.** Open **Recently deleted** in the chat list to see the chats you deleted in the last 30 days and how many days each has left. Choose **Restore** to bring one back. You can also ask the Agent to list your recently deleted chats and restore one.
* **After 30 days** the chat, its messages, attachments and jobs are permanently erased, and it cannot be restored.

### What happens to the cards a chat made

* A card you **saved to your Library** stays in your Library, whether you restore the chat or not.
* A card the chat made that you did not save is removed with the chat. It is hidden as soon as you delete the chat, comes back if you restore the chat in time, and is erased with it after 30 days. Copies of it shared with the Community are taken down when you delete the chat.

### What a restore does not bring back

Share links to the chat stop working when you delete it. Restoring the chat does not turn them back on, so share it again if you need a link.

### Chats you deleted before this change

A chat you deleted before this change gets 30 days from the day the change was released, so it is still there to restore.

## Download a copy of your data

Open **Settings** and then **Your data**, and choose **Download my data**. TraderOS prepares a file and saves it to your computer. If a part could not be read just now, the page tells you which part was left out and nothing is lost. Download again to include it.

## Delete your data

**Settings** and then **Your data** also holds **Delete my data**. You type `DELETE` to confirm. On most accounts the deletion is final after one week, and you can cancel until then with **Cancel the deletion**. Some records we are required to keep, such as billing records, are kept.

If your account does not show **Delete my data**, the page says so and offers **Contact us**. Deleting all of your data is then done by our team: contact us and we do it for you.
