# Ask the Agent

> How to phrase a question to get a precise answer.

The Agent reads your words, picks the right data and studies, and answers with figures and cards. A few habits make answers sharper.

## Name the market

Use the ticker: `NVDA`, `SPY`, `NQ`, `ES`, `EURUSD`. Futures work with or without a slash (`NQ` or `/NQ`).

## Say the window

`last 3 years`, `since 2024-01-01`, `the last 10 sessions`. Without one, studies use a sensible default and say which.

## Name the session

TraderOS knows three sessions by name. If you do not name one, studies use New York hours.

| Session | Hours (ET) |
| - | - |
| Asia | 7pm to 4am |
| London | 2am to 11am |
| New York | 8am to 5pm (regular trading hours 9:30am to 4pm) |

You can also give your own clock times: `London 2am to 5am ET`.

## Ask for the thing, then the next thing

Good questions are specific and build on each other:

1. `What is the average range of the Asia session on NQ over 3 months?`
2. `How often does London take the Asia high?`
3. `Backtest: fade a break of the Asia high between 2am and 5am ET on MNQ.`

## Cards, files and sharing

Results appear as cards: tables, charts, reports and strategy results. Open one to see the detail, download it, or share a read-only link. A shared link shows the result and never runs code.

## Skills

The **Skills** menu offers ready-made routines such as a session plan, a trade review, a strategy stress test and a market brief.
