# Connect your own AI assistant

> Use TraderOS from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any assistant that supports MCP.

TraderOS exposes its read tools to assistants that support the [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/). Your assistant can then ask TraderOS for levels, bars, GEX, options flow and studies, and read the results of your own strategies.

## Connect

**1. Open MCP Access**

In TraderOS, open **MCP Access**. It shows the connection address and the steps for your assistant.

**2. Add the connector in your assistant**

Add a connector or server with that address. Your assistant opens a TraderOS page to sign you in.

**3. Approve the read scope**

Approve read access. The connection uses your own account and your own credits.

> Access through OAuth is read-only. It can fetch market data and read your results; it cannot place orders or change your account.

## What your assistant can ask for

| **Market overview** | The overview of markets, an asset-class view, big movers, scanners and screeners, rankings |
| **Prices** | Quotes, bars at every resolution, forex bars, the futures curve, the order book, trades |
| **Levels** | Key levels, prior-day range, value levels, day bands |
| **Options and GEX** | The options chain, options flow, GEX levels and the GEX report, volatility index, swing probability |
| **Calendars and context** | Earnings, economic calendar, macro events, news, financials, peer valuation, fund and institutional holdings, corporate actions |
| **Studies** | Opening range, gap fill, ATR, fair value gaps, prior ranges, session correlation, SMT divergence, event study, similar setups |
| **Your strategies** | List your strategies, read a specification, a backtest and its trades |
| **Coverage** | What a ticker has |

Every result carries its source, as-of time and age, the same as in the Agent. Ask your assistant to **show the source and time** and it will.

## Cost

The connection uses your own account and your own credits. **MCP Access** shows your connection.

## If it does not connect

* Check that the address is exactly the one in **MCP Access**.
* Remove the connector, add it again and sign in once more.
