# Connect TraderOS to Cursor and VS Code

> Add the TraderOS MCP server to Cursor or VS Code with one configuration entry, sign in once, and use TraderOS market data inside your editor.

Cursor and VS Code can use TraderOS data inside the editor. The connection is read-only and uses your own TraderOS account and credits.

The TraderOS connection address is `https://mcp.traderos.ai/mcp`. **MCP Access** in TraderOS shows the same address.

## Cursor

Add this to `.cursor/mcp.json` in your project, or to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` to use it everywhere:

```json theme={"dark"}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "traderos": {
      "url": "https://mcp.traderos.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Open Cursor's MCP settings, choose **traderos**, and sign in when it asks.

## VS Code

Add this to `.vscode/mcp.json` in your workspace:

```json theme={"dark"}
{
  "servers": {
    "traderos": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.traderos.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Start the server from the file or the MCP view, and sign in when VS Code opens the TraderOS page.

## Any other MCP assistant

Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can use the same address. Add a remote server with the address above and approve read access when TraderOS asks.

## If it does not connect

See [MCP troubleshooting](https://docs.traderos.ai/mcp/troubleshooting.md).
