Reports are official, ready-made studies. You pick a report, a ticker and a period, and TraderOS runs it on stored history and shows the result. The first official report is Opening Range Breakout.

Run a report

  1. Open Explore and choose Reports.
  2. Choose Opening Range Breakout.
  3. Set the ticker, the period and the settings below.
  4. Run it.
The period can be up to about two years. If the period holds no stored 5 minute bars for your ticker, the run tells you to choose a later period or another ticker.

Opening Range Breakout settings

What a result shows

  • Sessions. How many sessions were counted, and how many were breakouts, breakdowns, double breaks or no break.
  • Breaks. How many sessions broke the range on one side.
  • Held into the close. Of those breaks, how many were still beyond the range at the session close. This is the headline figure.
  • Excursion. How far price ran after the break before it came back inside the range.
  • A row for every session. Each row shows what happened that day and which figures it counts toward.
  • Coverage notes. The result lists the sessions it left out and why.
TraderOS never fills in missing bars. A session is excluded from a figure when the evidence for that figure is missing. For example, a day is excluded when:
  • a bar of the opening range is missing, or the day has no stored bars;
  • bars are missing between the end of the range and the break;
  • both sides of the range break inside one bar, so the first break is unclear;
  • the closing candle is missing, so you cannot tell if the break held.
Each figure leaves out only the sessions that lack its evidence. The rest still count.

Run a report from the Agent

Ask the Agent in plain words: “run the Opening Range Breakout on ES”, “with a 30 minute range”, “use 09:30 to 11:00”. The Agent runs the same report as the Reports page and shows the run as a card you can open. Say only what you want changed. The Agent fills the rest from the run you are looking at, your remembered choices, the chart you have open and the report’s defaults, so “run it on ES” keeps the settings and changes only the ticker. Ask “what reports are there” and the Agent lists the reports you can run or open, including the ones you saved. A report that is not calculated on the Reports page yet is answered with its study and a link to its page.

Build your own indicator or report

Ask the Agent to build something of your own, for example an EMA, SMA or RSI line, or what happens after price sweeps the overnight high or low and closes back through it. The Agent turns your words into an exact rule and shows a confirmation card with the rule, every setting and the price.
  • Nothing is built or charged until you confirm the card.
  • An indicator is free. A report is 2 credits plus usage. You are charged once, when the run finishes and its result is verified. A build that fails, is cancelled or cannot be verified is not charged.
  • Today builds run on NQ with 5 minute bars. If your question is outside that, the Agent says what runs now, keeps your question in view, and can write Pine code for TradingView. Pine code applies nothing to a chart and does not answer your question.
  • To change the rule of a report you saved, ask the Agent to change it. The change is saved as a new version.

Run history and rerun

Each run is saved. Open a report to see its run history, open an earlier result, or rerun it with the same settings. Change a setting and run again to compare. You can delete a run, or a saved report, whenever you want. Deleting removes its saved results.

From an Agent answer

When the Agent links you to a report page, the page uses its own default settings. Its numbers can differ from the Agent’s answer. Check the settings on the page and rerun to match the Agent.
