TraderOS cannot:
- Place trades or orders, or reach your broker account.
- Give investment advice: results describe data and history.
- Answer with another instrument’s numbers when a ticker is not covered; it names the closest data it holds and can start a request to add the ticker.
- Carry Asian-exchange products such as the Nikkei or Hang Seng today.
- Call a thin sample an edge, or invent a missing stop, level or price.
- Predict the future: a backtest describes the past.

Does the Agent remember what I said earlier in a long chat?
Yes, the TraderOS Agent keeps the context of a long chat. As a chat grows, the Agent condenses the older part and keeps your own rules and corrections word for word. When you ask about an earlier number, it re-opens the stored result and quotes it from there.
Can I edit the note the Agent keeps for a chat?
In TraderOS, there is no page to edit it. The note (ticker, timeframe, session day, plan steps, risk limits, open questions) follows what you say, so state a new limit or ticker and it changes.
How does the Agent handle huge results like thousands of option rows?
TraderOS works from a short summary: the shape, the first and last rows, totals and the extremes. Ask for “the trades in March” or “the top 20 strikes by open interest” and it reads further rows exactly as stored.
What are Skills?
In TraderOS, the Skills menu offers ready-made routines such as a session plan, a trade review, a strategy stress test and a market brief.
Can the Agent search the web?
Yes, the TraderOS Agent can search the web and read pages with dated sources. It can run a web search, a deeper web research across several sources, and a literature search. Results are dated and tied to sources you can open. See Research and the web.
Will the Agent use the web when it already has the data?
No, the TraderOS Agent prefers stored market data over the web when stored data answers the question. Where stored market data answers the question better, it uses the stored data and says so.
What if I decline a deep research card?
The Agent tells you the research was not run and nothing was charged. Ask again to run it, and the price in credits is shown again.
Can the Agent read my own files?
Yes, the TraderOS Agent can read a trade file or CSV you attach. You can attach a trade file, such as a broker export, or a CSV, and the Agent can summarise it or run Python on it. It repairs and reformats a messy file before it asks you to fix anything. See All datasets.
Can it run a query on the data directly?
Yes, the TraderOS Agent can run a read-only query on stored market data. For a count, a filter or a comparison that no ready-made tool covers, the Agent can run a read-only query on the stored bars, GEX and options data.
Partly, the TraderOS Agent uses only the tools enabled for your account. The Agent can only use tools that are enabled for your account. If a question needs data TraderOS does not carry, it says so and, where possible, answers with the closest data it holds, labelled.
Can I ask for range, tick or volume bars?
Yes, the TraderOS Agent can build range, tick and volume bars from the stored trade tape. The Agent builds them from the stored trade tape and returns a chart, a table of up to 3,000 bars and bar speed. See Range, tick and volume bars.

Data and coverage

How many tickers do you cover?
In TraderOS, as of 28 October 2026, 1,050 stocks and ETFs have price history, and as of 2 November 2026, 28 CME futures do. Ask the Agent what do you cover for XYZ? for the live position of any ticker.
How do I check whether a ticker is covered?
Ask the Agent do you have data for XYZ?, or open the data dictionary in the app to browse and search every ticker.
What if my ticker is not covered?
The Agent says so, names the closest thing it does hold, and can start a request to add it. It never answers with another instrument’s numbers.
Which futures do you cover?
TraderOS covers 28 CME futures (as of 2 November 2026): 6A, 6B, 6C, 6E, 6J, 6S (currency), CL and MCL, NG (energy), GC, MGC, SI, HG (metals), ES, NQ, RTY, YM and the micros MES, MNQ, M2K, MYM, ZB, ZF, ZN, ZT (rates), ZC, ZW (grains) and VX (volatility). See Data coverage and freshness.

Why does one ticker have less history than another?
In TraderOS, the longest daily history is on the most heavily traded names. A ticker added this year has history from the day it was added.
Which chart resolutions are available?
In TraderOS, 1-minute bars are the base. 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour and daily bars are built from them, so a coarser chart always agrees with the minute data under it.
How many symbols have options chains and GEX?
In TraderOS, as of 28 October 2026, 165 stocks and ETFs and 23 futures have an options chain. 1,044 stocks and ETFs and 23 futures have GEX levels.
What is a continuous futures contract?
In TraderOS, futures are a continuous contract that follows the most active month, so a chart does not break at each expiry. Prices are the raw contract prices.
What happens to my P&L when a roll happens?
In TraderOS, a position held across a roll books the roll step as profit or loss, and a backtest says so when it happens.
Why do I see “Live”, “Delayed”, “Cached”, “Stale”, “Calculated” or “Unavailable”?
In TraderOS, these are the TraderOS freshness labels. Live is current to the feed’s normal delay; Delayed is behind the market by more than usual; Cached is a recent copy with its age; Stale means history exists but nothing recent; Calculated is worked out by TraderOS from named inputs; Unavailable means it is not held. See All datasets.
Why does the Agent say a number is delayed?
In TraderOS, during market hours, 1-minute bars trail the market by a few minutes, and some datasets update less often. When something is delayed, stale or partly available, the answer and the card say so instead of presenting it as live.
What does “age when captured” mean?
In TraderOS, every figure shows its source, an as-of time in New York time, and its age when it was captured, for example 2 days old when captured.
What if a kind of data is not stored for a ticker?
The Agent tells you what is held for that ticker instead, with the dates and the tools that read it, so you can carry on with real data.
What kinds of data can I ask for?
In TraderOS, you can ask for bars, quotes and order book, the futures curve, forex bars, key levels, value levels, GEX levels, the options chain, options flow, earnings and economic calendars, news, company financials, peer valuation, fund and institutional holdings, corporate actions, volatility index readings and the market overview. What does the data dictionary show?
In TraderOS, the data dictionary shows every dataset with how often it updates and how far back it goes, plus every ticker open to everyone and which of its data is available. Open it from the sidebar or your account menu. See The data dictionary.
How do I search tickers in the dictionary?
In TraderOS, use Search tickers to narrow by ticker, company name or exchange, and All types to show one kind of ticker, such as stocks or futures. The table shows 25 tickers a page.
What is not covered?
In TraderOS, the Not covered yet box at the bottom of the data dictionary lists what TraderOS does not carry. Asian-exchange products such as the Nikkei or Hang Seng are not carried today.
How fast does new data appear in the dictionary?
In TraderOS, the dictionary is read from the data itself, so a new ticker or a longer history appears without any announcement.
What are the trading sessions?
In TraderOS, the sessions are Asia 7pm to 4am ET, London 2am to 11am ET, New York 8am to 5pm ET, regular trading hours 9:30am to 4pm ET, and the full futures day 6pm to 5pm ET. See Sessions and hours.

Can I use my own session hours?
Yes, you can give the TraderOS Agent your own clock times for a session. Give your own clock times, such as London 2am to 5am ET.
Which session do studies use if I do not name one?
TraderOS studies use New York hours when you do not name a session. See Sessions and hours.
How is a daily bar cut for futures?
In TraderOS, a daily bar for a future is its trading session, 6pm to 5pm ET, dated by the trade date. The Sunday-evening open belongs to Monday’s bar. A daily bar for a stock or ETF is the regular session, 9:30am to 4pm ET.
How are 30-minute bars cut?
In TraderOS, 30-minute bars start on the hour and the half hour. Every data tool and backtest result carries a short note saying how its bars are cut.
Why does a daily bar’s date read as the evening before?
In TraderOS, a daily bar is stamped with the time its session opened, so its date can read as the evening before. The row also carries the session date.
How far back do range, tick and volume bars go?
In TraderOS, the trade tape starts on 29 January 2026, so those bars cover dates from then on. One request covers up to 8 hours of trading and up to 400,000 trades.
Platforms treat the trade that closes a bar in different ways. The Agent states its rule on every result so you can compare like with like.
Studies and levels
What is a study?
In TraderOS, a study measures how often something happened in the past and what followed. Ask in words, name the market and the window, and the Agent runs it on stored history and shows the sample size. See Studies.
Which studies can I run?
TraderOS runs these studies: opening range breakout, initial balance breakout, overnight range breakout, gap fill, ATR, fair value gaps, prior day and prior days’ range, prior weeks’ range, high and low of the day, outside days, red and green days, session correlation, SMT divergence, event study and similar setups.
What is a gap fill study?
A TraderOS gap fill study shows how often a gap fills and how long it takes. See Studies.
What does the ATR study tell me?
The TraderOS ATR study shows how far a market typically moves in a day or a session. See Studies.
What does the opening range breakout study answer?
The TraderOS opening range breakout study shows how often the first range breaks, which side breaks first and how far it runs. See Studies.
What is the initial balance breakout?
In TraderOS, the initial balance breakout study asks the same question as the opening range, for the first hour’s range.
What does an event study do?
A TraderOS event study shows how price behaves around a scheduled event such as CPI or an earnings date. See Studies.
What does SMT divergence mean here?
In TraderOS, the SMT divergence study shows what followed when two correlated indices disagreed at a high or low. See Studies.
What does “similar setups” do?
The TraderOS similar-setups study finds past days that look like today and shows how they ended. See Studies.
How do I read a study properly?
In TraderOS, look at the sample size first, then the spread rather than just the average, and ask for a different window to see whether it holds outside the stretch you looked at. A pattern seen eleven times is not a pattern.
How do I turn a study into a strategy?
In TraderOS, say backtest this. See Backtests.
What are key levels?
In TraderOS, key levels include the prior-day high, low and close, prior-week levels, the opening range and round numbers. Volume profile levels (value area, point of control, VWAP) and day bands are also available. See All datasets.
What are value levels?
In TraderOS, value levels are the value area high, value area low and point of control of the prior day and week, plus the developing value of the current session. A level that cannot be known is shown as missing, never filled with an older number.
What is GEX?
GEX is dealer gamma exposure, built from options positioning. TraderOS shows the call and put walls, the gamma flip, net exposure and the regime for a ticker, with the time of the data. See Markets.
How often are GEX levels updated?
GEX levels are calculated from the options chain at 15-minute snapshots, with the publication delay and the snapshot time shown.
Who calculates GEX?
TraderOS does, from the options chain. Each result states the snapshot it was calculated from. The same goes for the gamma flip and the volatility surfaces.
How do I read the GEX chart?
TraderOS shows exposure by strike in millions of dollars per 1% move, with the call wall, put wall, gamma flip and spot marked. Calls count positive and puts negative.
What does the Environment panel on the GEX page say?
TraderOS gives the net GEX, says how it is measured (the sum over every strike and expiry) and gives a plain reading, such as negative gamma, where hedging flows can add to moves.
What is 0DTE on the GEX page?
In TraderOS, you can switch between All expiries and 0DTE, which covers options that expire today. 0DTE intensity is not shown because no 0DTE history is kept.
What does GEX Intensity mean in the Scanner?
TraderOS ranks today’s net GEX against the ticker’s own past readings, from 0 to 100. A ticker with at least 60 sessions of history gets the full measure. One with 10 to 59 sessions carries a small P mark. Below 10 sessions it shows Unavailable with the reason.
What is the P mark on Intensity?
In TraderOS, the P mark on Intensity means the rank rests on fewer than 60 sessions of history; hover it to see how many. See Markets.
What is Exp 1D?
In TraderOS, Exp 1D is one standard deviation of a day’s move in percent. It comes from 30-day at-the-money implied volatility where an options chain is stored, otherwise from 20-day realized volatility with an R mark. See Markets.
What does the R mark mean?
In TraderOS, the R mark means realized volatility stands in for implied volatility, so you never read a realized figure as an implied one. See Markets.
What is Held 20d?
Held 20d is the count of sessions, out of the last 20, that closed inside that day’s expected band. At least 15 of the 20 sessions must be priced for the count to show, so it can read 14/18.
Why does the Scanner show a net GEX but no flip for some tickers?
In TraderOS, a ticker with no stored option chain or strike data shows the stored net GEX and walls only. It shows no gamma flip or nearest-level distance and says why in the cell.
Why can the Scanner and GEX page differ in the last digits?
In TraderOS, the Scanner uses the stored net, flip and walls from the 15-minute snapshot. The GEX page can recompute the net and flip from the strike detail, and it says so where they differ.
What is options flow?
Options flow in TraderOS shows large option trades on the tape: unusual contracts, sweeps and blocks, premium, call versus put activity and volume against open interest. Observed trades and inferred direction are kept apart. See Markets.
What does the Sentiment column in options flow mean?
In TraderOS, the Sentiment column in options flow is a classification of the trade, not a fact about who traded or why. The columns for time, size, price and premium are observed. See Markets.
Why does the flow summary show a past date?
In TraderOS, before the open, or on a weekend, when nothing has printed yet, it shows the last session with prints and names that day (for example Fri, Oct 23).
Why do futures show “No options flow for futures”?
In TraderOS, the flow is read from listed options on the ETFs.
What does the Calendar show?
TraderOS shows scheduled events for the next six weeks: earnings, economic releases and option expiries such as the 0DTE expiry at 16:00 ET. You can filter by impact, event type or symbol, or show Watchlist only.
What does the Scanner rank on?
TraderOS ranks covered instruments on dealer positioning and where price sits against the session. Use presets such as Far from gamma flip, or filters for asset type, distance to the gamma flip, GEX state and session.
Can I download the Scanner table?
Yes, the TraderOS Markets Scanner table downloads as a CSV. CSV downloads the table.
What does Investigate send to the Agent?
TraderOS sends the rows you selected, or with no selection the top 50 rows of the current sort and filters. When the table has more, a note tells you.
Why does a Scanner cell say Unavailable?
In TraderOS, a value that cannot be known shows Unavailable and the reason, never a blank or an old number.
How do I search for futures by name?
In TraderOS, type a plain name: nasdaq finds NQ and MNQ, gold finds GC and MGC, s&p finds ES and MES. Words such as spx and vix return the futures on that index and label them as futures, not the index itself. See Markets.
Strategies, backtests and validation
How do I backtest a strategy?
Describe the setup in words. The Agent shows an explicit specification, you run the backtest, see where it fails, and change one thing at a time. See Backtests.
No, a short sentence is enough to start a TraderOS backtest. A sentence like backtest orb on nq is enough. The Agent fills in what you left out with common defaults and lists every one before it runs.
What if I leave out the market?
The Agent asks for it, because that one cannot be guessed.
What defaults does an opening range backtest use?
In TraderOS, an opening range backtest typically uses the first 15 minutes of the regular session, a stop on the opposite side of the range, flat at 15:55 ET, one contract and one trade a day. The Agent lists them before it runs.
What can I put in the rules?
In TraderOS, backtest rules can use entry and exit conditions on price, time and indicators, stops and targets (including percent of capital risked per trade), a limit on trades per day, session windows and “stay out” windows, and exits such as “sell the close” or “exit on a close below the prior 10-day low”.
What does a time cutoff on entries mean?
TraderOS judges the cutoff at the time the entry fills, which is the close of the bar that gave the signal. On a 5-minute chart, “no entries after 9:59 ET” excludes a signal bar that opens at 9:55, because that entry fills at 10:00.
Can different days have different windows?
Yes, a TraderOS backtest can use a different window for different days. for example Monday 09:30-10:00, Tuesday to Friday 09:30-15:00.
How are futures backtested?
TraderOS backtests futures on their real contract: its tick size, point value, commission and a size in whole contracts.
Can a flat time fall overnight?
Yes, a TraderOS backtest can close a trade at an overnight flat time inside the same session. A flat time such as “flat at 01:30 ET” in an Asia session that starts at 19:00 closes the trade inside that same session, and a signal that would fill at or after the flat time is not entered.
Can a filter read another market?
Yes, a TraderOS backtest filter can read another market such as SPY, QQQ, IWM or DIA, or another covered futures market. A filter can read SPY, QQQ, IWM or DIA, and on a futures strategy another futures market we hold, such as ZN on ZB. If a market is not covered, the Agent says so and starts a coverage request instead of dropping the filter.
Can I backtest rotating between several instruments?
Yes, TraderOS can backtest rotating between several instruments on stored daily bars. A rule that holds the strongest of a basket (for example TLT, GLD and XLU, ranked weekly) is answered from stored daily bars. It decides at the close and earns the new holding from the next day. It is a fast read of the idea, not a trade-by-trade run.
What happens when my stop is a level with no price?
TraderOS does not invent a distance. That signal is passed over and counted, and the result says how many were passed over and why.
Why did I get fewer trades than signals?
In TraderOS, the result says where each signal went, with counts: a position was already open, your daily trade limit was used, it came at or after your flat time, one contract risks more than your budget, or your own filter removed it. Ask where did the signals go.
What is the Strategy code card?
After a backtest, it shows the code the Agent wrote from your rules and ran. Open it to check the logic against your rules, and download it as a file.
What does the result include?
In TraderOS, a TraderOS backtest result includes trades, equity, drawdown, costs, and results split by year, month of the year, weekday, and long and short, plus the data window actually covered. Ask in the same chat for any other split.
How does a daily-bar backtest handle open and close?
In TraderOS, for a stock or ETF on daily bars, a rule that enters at the open and exits at the same session’s close fills at the open price and the close. For anything finer, run it on an intraday chart.
What if a trade breaks my own time rule?
In TraderOS, the result says so, with how many trades and an example, and tells you the numbers do not yet match what you asked for.
What if one trade is held far longer than my stop allows?
In TraderOS, the run is marked as not trustworthy and the result says which trade it was. Ask the Agent to look at that trade and rerun with an end-of-day exit.
Why does the result say positions can be held overnight?
In TraderOS, when a rule has a stop or target but no time to be flat, the result says so. Say flat at 15:55 ET if you do not want that.
Can I backtest 10 years of 1-minute data?
Yes, TraderOS can backtest 10 years of 1-minute data as joined pieces at the price of one backtest. A 1-minute window longer than roughly a year is tested as consecutive pieces of about eight months and joined into one result at the price of one backtest. Ten years takes around an hour, so you can close the app and come back.
What does “Pieces start flat” mean?
In TraderOS, each piece starts flat, so a trade open at a boundary closes there, and a few trades near each boundary can differ from one unbroken run.
What does “Not tested” mean on a piece?
In TraderOS, a piece that cannot be tested after a second try is shown as a gap, with its dates, and left out of the numbers. The result still arrives.
Are my long rules cut off?
No, TraderOS stores long rules whole. Long rules are stored whole, so a second rule is applied the same way as the first.
How is net result defined?
In TraderOS, net result is ending account equity minus starting capital, after commission and slippage. The percent is that over the starting capital.
How is win rate defined?
In TraderOS, win rate is winning trades over all closed trades. A break-even trade counts as neither a win nor a loss.
What is a break-even trade?
In TraderOS, a break-even trade is a trade whose gross result was smaller than its fees. The result gives the win rate with and without them.
How are profit factor and max drawdown defined?
In TraderOS, profit factor is gross profit over gross loss, blank when there was no losing trade. Max drawdown is the percent below the running equity peak, marked bar by bar including open trades.
Are costs included?
Yes, TraderOS backtests include commission and slippage and show them separately from the gross result. Commission and slippage are included and shown separately from the gross result.
What does buy and hold mean in the result?
In TraderOS, holding the instrument from the first to the last bar of the tested window with no stops, shown over the same window.
Why does my backtest not match TradingView?
Small differences are normal. Check futures prices (TraderOS uses the raw continuous contract), session times (a session is dated in New York time) and costs. Ask why does this differ from my chart? with the date and trade. See Troubleshooting.
How do I improve a strategy?
In TraderOS, follow the loop: characterize the idea, run the backtest, search for a better filter, apply or revert, then validate. See Improve and validate.
How does the Agent suggest filters?
TraderOS scores candidate filters from a catalog against your own trades, and shows a suggestion only when it passes statistical checks. A weak baseline gets new directions instead of a filter that would hide the weakness.
Can I go back to an earlier version of a strategy?
Yes, TraderOS keeps every version of a strategy and the Agent can return to one by its number. Every version is kept: ask the Agent to list the versions of a strategy and go back to one by its number.
What validation checks exist?
TraderOS offers these validation checks: walk-forward, deflated Sharpe, parameter stability, edge decay and capacity. Ask check if this holds up out of sample.
What does deflated Sharpe do?
The TraderOS deflated Sharpe check discounts a result for the number of variations you tried. See Improve and validate.
What are sweeps and decomposition?
TraderOS can run the same strategy across assets or timeframes, or break a result down by session, day type, regime, timing and how far trades ran for and against you, to see where the edge lives.
Yes, TraderOS can turn a described setup or source code into an explicit, versioned strategy specification. You can describe a setup, or import one from source code, and the Agent turns it into an explicit, versioned specification. Anything it cannot apply exactly is listed, not skipped.
Can I export a strategy?
Yes, TraderOS can export a strategy as NinjaScript or as a report. as NinjaScript or as a report.
Why does the result say the sample is too small?
There were fewer trades than a fair judgement needs, and the Agent will not call it an edge. Widen the window, trade a faster timeframe or loosen a filter.
My backtest did not finish. Why?
The Agent tells you what stopped it. Common causes are a rule it could not apply exactly, such as a stop tied to a level with no price on some bars, or a very long window on a 1-minute chart. See Troubleshooting.
Is a backtest a forecast?
No, a TraderOS backtest is not a forecast; it describes the past. Past results describe the past.
Reports
What is a report?
In TraderOS, a report is an official, ready-made study. You pick a report, a ticker and a period, and TraderOS runs it on stored history. The first official report is Opening Range Breakout. See Reports.
How do I run a report?
In TraderOS, open Explore, choose Reports, choose Opening Range Breakout, set the ticker, period and settings, and run it.
How long can the period be?
A TraderOS report can cover a period of up to about two years. See Reports.
What settings does the Opening Range Breakout have?
In TraderOS, the Opening Range Breakout report has these settings: range minutes (5 to 120, default 15), candle size (5, 15 or 30 minutes, default 5), breakout criterion (by wick or by close, default by wick), double-break measure (throughout day or same candle, default throughout day), session (regular or custom) and calendar (US cash).
What is the difference between by wick and by close?
In the TraderOS Opening Range Breakout report, by wick counts a break when price trades beyond the range, and by close counts it only when a candle closes beyond the range. See Reports.
What session does the report use?
In TraderOS, for the report session, regular is 09:30 to 16:00 Eastern. Custom lets you set your own start and end, which must start on a candle boundary, inside regular hours, and run longer than the range.
Why are market holidays skipped?
In TraderOS, sessions follow the US cash-session calendar, so holidays such as Labor Day are skipped even though futures trade that day, and a half day ends early at 13:00.
What does “Held into the close” mean?
In a TraderOS report, “Held into the close” counts the breaks that were still beyond the range at the session close, and it is the headline figure. See Reports.
What does “37 of 63” mean in a report?
In a TraderOS report, “37 of 63” means 37 of the 63 breaks measured, not 37 of all sessions. See Reports.
Why were some sessions excluded?
TraderOS never fills in missing bars. A session is excluded from a figure when its evidence is missing, for example a missing opening-range bar, missing bars before the break, both sides breaking in the first candle, or a missing closing candle. The result lists them.
Can I run a report from the Agent?
Yes, the TraderOS Agent can run the same reports as the Reports page. in plain words: “run the Opening Range Breakout on ES”, “with a 30 minute range”. Say only what you want changed, and the Agent fills the rest from the run you are looking at and the defaults.
Why do the Agent’s numbers differ from a report page it linked?
In TraderOS, the page uses its own default settings. Check the settings on the page and rerun to match the Agent.
Can I build my own indicator or report?
Yes, the TraderOS Agent can build your own indicator or report after you confirm a card. Ask the Agent for something like an EMA, SMA or RSI line, or what happens after price sweeps the overnight high and closes back through it. It shows a confirmation card with the rule, every setting and the price.
What does building an indicator or report cost?
In TraderOS, an indicator is free. A report is 2 credits plus usage. You are charged once, when the run finishes and its result is verified. A build that fails, is cancelled or cannot be verified is not charged, and nothing is built until you confirm the card.
Which markets can my own builds use?
In TraderOS, today builds run on NQ with 5 minute bars. If your question is outside that, the Agent says what runs now and can write Pine code for TradingView, which applies nothing to a chart.
Can I rerun or delete a report run?
Yes, TraderOS saves every report run so you can rerun or delete it. Each run is saved, so you can open an earlier result or rerun it with the same settings. You can delete a run or a saved report whenever you want, which removes its saved results.
Credits, plans and limits
What are credits?
Credits pay for the work the Agent does for you. See Credits.
How much do things cost?
In TraderOS, a chat answer is 1 credit, a report is 1 credit and a strategy backtest is 5 credits. Prices can change, and a priced action shows its cost before it runs.

What is the daily allowance?
A daily amount of Agent work, separate from credits. It resets at midnight Eastern.
How is the daily allowance counted?
TraderOS counts the daily allowance by cost, not by number of messages. Cached reading counts far less than fresh work, and long answers count more than short ones.
What happens when I use up the daily allowance?
If the platform has room, the Agent keeps going on a lighter model and opens the answer with a note that it is running slower. If the platform is busy or you are well past the allowance, the answer pauses with a note and a Resume button.
Do I lose my work when an answer pauses?
No, TraderOS saves your work so far when an answer pauses. Your work so far is saved, and Resume continues the same answer after the reset, or as soon as there is room.
Does the allowance cost credits?
No, the TraderOS daily allowance is separate from credits. The allowance is separate from credits. Credits pay for priced actions such as backtests, and the allowance limits how much the Agent reads and writes for you in a day.
Does an MCP connection use my credits?

Every figure shows its as-of time and age. Ask the Agent what is the newest data you have for this?. See All datasets for each dataset’s update rhythm.
The microphone does not work in voice mode.

You can also connect ChatGPT or Claude to TraderOS over MCP. See Connect your own AI assistant.
TraderOS focuses on questions answered from data, such as levels, GEX, options flow, studies and backtests, rather than on drawing on charts. TraderOS can export a strategy as NinjaScript. See Backtests.
TraderOS lets you describe a strategy in words and turns it into an explicit specification that lists every assumption before it runs. Choose TraderOS when you want a no-code backtest with costs shown, a count of where each signal went and validation checks. Choose a dedicated backtesting platform when you need something TraderOS does not document, such as custom portfolio-level tooling. See Improve and validate.
TraderOS vs a market-data terminal?
TraderOS stores market data and lets the Agent read it and label its age, source and gaps. TraderOS vs a trade-logging app?
TraderOS can summarise a trade file you attach, including how your trades split by dealer positioning, and it builds plans and tests strategies. Choose TraderOS to analyse a broker export alongside market data. Choose a dedicated logging app when logging every trade is your main need. See All datasets.
TraderOS never places orders and has no access to your broker account. Choose TraderOS to prepare, analyse and test. Choose your broker platform to execute. See How TraderOS handles trust.
