The Journal is where your trading days stay together. You record what you did and why, including the setups you chose to skip, review it, and let the lessons you confirm shape what the Agent tells you next.
Open Journal from the sidebar. It has six pages.
How a day works
- Prepare. Use the checklist on the Day page and write down how you feel before trading.
- Record. Log a trade, import a file or connect a broker. Capture a note, or a setup you passed on.
- Review. Open a trade to see its chart, mark your rules and write what you noticed.
- Close the day. Write the recap and set one focus for tomorrow.
- Carry it forward. Confirmed lessons and notes go into the Agent’s memory.
Days, accounts and money
- Days are Eastern Time. Every trading day in the Journal runs on New York time.
- Accounts stay separate. Each trade belongs to one Journal account. Loss limits belong to one account and are never added across accounts.
- Currencies are never mixed. If your trades span currencies, the Journal shows one figure per currency and applies no exchange rate.
- Realized results only. Profit and loss books on the day a trade closes. A position still open is shown, but it is not in your realized figures.
- Hide amounts. Turn on Hide amounts to show every money figure as dots while screen-sharing. Counts, percentages, R and times stay visible. The setting belongs to the device you are on.
The Journal records and warns. It never places an order, moves money or locks an account.
Ask the Agent about your Journal
The Agent can read your Journal when you ask, for example what did I trade last Tuesday?, find my notes about the opening range or how did I do on ORB trades this month?.
It can also record things for you: a trade, a note, a decision to skip a setup, or a reflection. A write never happens on its own. The Agent shows a confirmation card, and the Journal changes only when you approve it in TraderOS. See What the Agent can do.
Search
- In Trades, search by symbol or source.
- In Notebook, search titles, notes, symbols and tags.
- In Lessons, search the lessons text.
- Ask the Agent to search across your notes, trades and reflections in plain words.
