Open a trade

Select a trade in Trades or on a Day to review it. You see its executions, position, result and chart, and you can:
  • Mark it reviewed, or Skip for now. Trades can be filtered to Not reviewed.
  • Grade your execution A to D. The grade is for your process, not the P&L.
  • Mark how it felt: calm, focused, rushed, hesitant or frustrated.
  • Write a trade note, and a setup label of your own such as ORB. The scorecard groups trades by that label.
  • Link a strategy to check its rules.
  • Add initial risk (your stop) so the trade has an R. Fills imported from a broker are read-only, but you can still add the stop.
  • Edit the trade if you logged it by hand, and open its History to see earlier versions and restore one.

Rule results

When a trade is linked to a strategy, you mark each of that strategy’s rules Kept or Broke. A rule you leave as Not marked is left out of the rates.
  • Followed every rule means every rule on the trade was marked Kept.
  • Broke a rule means at least one rule was marked Broke.
  • A trade only partly marked, or never marked, is in neither group.
These marks are yours. TraderOS does not decide whether you followed a rule. Filter Trades by Rule result to see each group.

Trade charts

A trade’s chart offers 1 minute, 5 minute, 15 minute, 1 hour and 1 day bars. It states its source, the bar size and when the data was read.
  • A stock is charted from its own bars.
  • A futures trade is charted from the continuous front-contract series of its product (volume-rolled), not the exact contract you traded. The chart says so.
  • An option has no chart, because option premiums are not held. Its executions stay available.
  • If the bars you asked for cannot cover the trade, the chart shows the next larger bar size and says so. One-minute bars reach only about five trading sessions.
  • If an execution falls outside the plotted bars, the chart tells you instead of drawing it.
Your fills are drawn as you recorded them. They are never moved onto bar prices.

MAE and MFE

For a closed trade, the review shows how far the trade went against you (MAE), how far it went for you (MFE), and how much of the best of it you captured.
  • Estimated, not exact. The figures come from one-minute bars, taking each bar at its high and low. The minute of each fill is valued at the fill’s price only.
  • Gross. They are before fees. Your net result is unaffected.
  • Observed or missing. If price history is missing for the trade, the trade is an option, or the trade is still open, the panel says why there is no estimate. If some minutes are missing, MAE and MFE are shown without the captured share.
  • Limit. A holding time longer than about five sessions has no estimate.

Overview

Overview reads your realized results for a Week, Month, Quarter, YTD or all time.
  • Net P&L, Win rate, Profit factor (gross wins over gross losses, after fees) and Average R (net over the risk you set, for trades that have one).
  • Rules kept as a share of the checks you marked.
  • A calendar of results and an equity curve.
  • A split by currency, with no exchange rate applied.
  • A split by strategy, and your passed decisions.
A trade without a recorded stop has no R, so it is left out of Average R. In the scorecard, a trade whose fees were left blank has no result: it is counted as closed but left out of every rate and average. Choose Export to download the closed trades of the period as a CSV file. If a period holds more rows than one export carries, the export holds the first rows and says so; narrow the dates for the rest.

Scorecard

The Scorecard is a monthly report over your own closed trades and passed setups. Choose the month and what to group by: setup, regime, ticker, timeframe or strategy.
  • Observed. Counts, win rate, R and profit and loss come straight from your records.
  • Inferred. Labels such as above or below your overall figure are inferred from a 95% interval around the win rate, and the page shows the basis.
  • Sample size on every row. A row with fewer closed trades than Min sample is shown but not ranked. The setting starts at 5. A row with no label, such as an unknown setup, is shown and never ranked.
  • Not advice. A ranking orders what already happened. It is not a signal about your next trade.
The Methodology and Data quality panels list what was read and what was left out.
